Our Services

The Criminal defence area of law is generally funded through Legal Aid. Which means that if your are entitled to legal aid, you do not have to pay our fee and this includes the fee for the Barrister. The Police station representation is Legal Aided as well. Under the police station and legal aid scheme we will provide you following services 

  1. taking your initial instructions, reviewing the evidence and advising you on the merits of your defence;
  2. preparing  your defence;
  3. reviewing and advising on the response and evidence from the Police and CPS;
  4. preparing for (and attending) any preliminary hearings including bail hearings;
  5. exchanging documents with the CPS and Police and preparing a bundle of documents;
  6. taking witness statements, drafting statements and agreeing their content with witnesses;
  7. preparing a bundle of documents;
  8. reviewing and advising on the witness statements;
  9. Instructing a  Criminal defence barrister.

OUR FEE

We deal with legal Aided Criminal matters. Which means that you do not have to pay us our legal fees. 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR A CASE TO REACH A HEARING?

The length of time in a case varies depending upon the type and gravity of the offence. We will of course keep you informed throughout the preparation of a case about how long the matter is likely to take to reach a conclusion. We only take work which is covered under the  Government’s Legal Aid scheme, which means that you do not have to pay us any fee. 

BARRISTERS’ FEES

Under the legal aid, the Barrister’s fee will also be covered.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR A CASE TO REACH A HEARING?

The length of time in a case varies depending upon the severity of the offence. We are unable to tell you the expected lenght of the case. Once we have more information and facts we will be able to estimate the likely time.  We will of course keep you informed throughout the preparation of a case about how long the matter is likely to take to reach a conclusion.

LEGAL AID IS AVAILABLE FOR ELIGIBLE CRIMINAL MATTERS.
